Maize germ from dry milling contains a little more protein (13-18% DM) and much less oil (20-30% DM) (Moreau et al., 2005). The residual oil contains 16% palmitic acid (16:0), 28% oleic acid (18:1) and 56% linoleic acid (18:2) (Miller et al., 2009).
